8. When Robin Got Jealous Of Batwoman
The Dynamic Duo have long been the victims of lascivious rumours regarding their relationship. How exactly do Batman and Robin spend their time when they're off the clock? What's all this talk about bite marks in leather thongs, or Batman being worried about his ward when told that the loved ones he “touches” are going to die?
Most of that chatter's just wilful misinterpretation of admittedly suspect euphemisms and old-timey words in retro comics, but there are also places where those who insist Bruce and Dick are up to no good are bank on the money. Like what happened when Batwoman turned up and stole Batman's heart. The name probably helped.
As did the fact she was a foxy lady in a skin-tight costume presenting herself to an eligible bachelor who's been living with a child in a cave for half a century. Robin's jealousy never felt like a kid rejecting a new step-parent; he was envious about the amount of time Bats Man and Woman spent together.
