7. The Year One Retcon Where The Dark Knight Wet Himself
It might seem tempting to seek out these altogether inappropriate Batman comics after finishing this list, to see for your own eyes if they're really that bad. And if you take only one thing away from this list, it should be the warning that you really ought never, ever, in a million years, read Kevin Smith's Batman: The Widening Gyre.
Quoting a Yeats poem in the title is pretentious, and Smith's story absolutely doesn't make good on its use.
