4. Lionheart
Marvel tend not to have much luck when it comes to their British heroes. Union Jack, Captain Midlands and Spider-Woman all have dreadful costumes and - with the exception of Spider-Woman – tend not to appear very often due to a lack of popularity. There are some exceptions, as Betsy Braddock’s new Captain Britain suit is fantastic and Black Knight is due in the MCU very soon (if rumours are to be believed). Sadly, Lionheart is not one of these exceptions.
After Kelsey Leigh sacrificed herself to save Captain America, she was passed the mantle of Captain Britain so she could save the land from Morgan Le Fey. She was successful in her efforts and joined the Avengers for a while, until disaster struck. She once again put herself in the path of danger to save Captain America and came out of the battle in a critical condition.
Come New Excalibur, Kelsey was angry and sought revenge. She blamed Captain Britain for all that had happened to her and became a villain under the name Lionheart. Unfortunately, her new name came without a new look. Although, she did acquire a curtain rail to use alongside the Sword of Right, so that’s cool?
