Honestly, there are few villains that look as creepy as Spider-Ma'am.

Surprisingly, Spider-Ma'am has been around for forty years. She first appeared in What If? #23 where she was bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter. She shared the same powers as her Earth-616 nephew and despite her age, still fights crime.

That seemed to be it for the character, right up until the introduction of the Spider-Verse. In the Inheritors quest to destroy every Spider-Totem, it was time for Spider-Ma'am to make a return to our pages.

She is tracked down by Karn, who was cast out from the Inheritors and was desperately trying to win back their trust. She offers her life to him in order to protect the rest of the family, as a bunch of Spiders arrive to try and recruit Karn.

Over the last couple of years, she has featured regularly across various Spider-Verse events. Unfortunately, that costume is just haunting.

The majority of the suit is fine, mostly based on the original Spidey. But then there is the face mask. The image of an old lady with spider eyes, exposed ears and oversized shower cap is enough to scare any villain away.
