Not much is said about the similarity of Ms Marvel’s suit and Psylocke’s, yet the similarities are obvious. However, while they share the leotard and sash look, Carol’s suit was a little more advanced.

Having spent a few years in her original, Mar-Vell inspired look she enlisted the help of Wasp to design a new costume. The suit was built with unstable molecules and acted like a second skin for Carol. It was able to transform on a whim, which allowed Danvers to quickly change into civilian clothes and protect her identity.

Even with the new technology in the suit, it still couldn’t seem to manifest some trousers. For poor Carol, that meant as time went on, artists had the option to slowly reveal more butt. Come the mid-2000's and in the lead up to her transition to Captain Marvel, she was stuck with a perma-wedgie, which must have sucked.

When it came for Kamala Khan to take up the title, the black and yellow suit made a reappearance. However, being a young, Muslim girl, she was uncomfortable with the outfit. Khan tackled the issues with the outfit head on, but rather than it coming off preachy, it made for some hilarious moments.
