18 Most Badass Comic Book Assassins

8. The Seven Men Of Death

Including The Seven Men Of Death is effectively a way of cheating and including more than the allocated total of assassins, especially given that the stable doesn't have much of a history at all. However, it is noteworthy for being the personal hit-squad of The League Of Assassins' leader Ra's Al Ghul, and is therefore deserving of a mention. Primarily comprised of Merlyn (armed with a bow and arrow), the blade-wielding Razorburn, the skull-masked Shellcase, Madavu (notable for his lengthy claws), the balaclava-clad Detonator, The Hook, and Whip, the only female of the group, The Seven Men Of Death were selected by Al Ghul to act out specific tasks. They are lethal and merciless to a man, with each of them relishing the roles bestowed upon them by their leader. Sadly, many of these characters (Merlyn and, to a lesser extent, The Hook aside) don't really have much of a story outside of the group. It would certainly be interesting to learn more about this gang of powerful and skilful mercenaries, particularly their connections to The League Of Assassins more generally. Merlyn has subsequently left the team, with an unnamed member replacing him, so it seems that DC do have plans to continue developing the members' storylines.
