18 Most Badass Comic Book Assassins

14. Lord Deathstrike

Lord Deathstrike is a relative newcomer to the roster of Marvel assassins, but he has certainly made a rapid and shocking impact on fans of the franchise. Despite the fact that his name has resonances of DC's Deathstroke, there isn't really much to compare the two. Lord Deathstrike is far more mysterious than Deathstroke, and little is known about the faceless assassin. This is partially due to the very small number of appearances that he has made to date, The facts that are known are pretty terrifying though. His skills include the ability to scale walls, exceptional vision, bullets that can return to him, and a mastery of blades that verges on perfection. He has been tasked with killing some of the most powerful and skilled fighters in the Marvel universe, including Mystique, Raizo Kodo and Jubilee, and has also been an instructor at the infamous Hellfire Academy. He is, supposedly, the brother of the truly evil Lady Deathstrike. His image is stunningly simple and effective: effectively just a suit with a painted kabuki mask. This outfit inspired the character of Yokai in Disney's Big Hero 6, who was probably given a different name to avoid any clashes with DC's similarly-named icon. Either way, Lord Deathstrike is one of the most disturbingly secretive assassins in comic book history.
