Hitler may have believed, at least briefly, that he had the power to end the world if the war did not go his way. The Last Days of the Justice Society of America gives Hitler that power, with horrifying results. Hitler used the Spear of Destiny, a weapon believed to have pierced Christ's side, to summon the end of the world prophesied in Norse legend. A brutal sacrifice of DC Comics' elder superheroes prevented this, but not before we got a vision of Hitler succeeding.
