19. Thanos' Tribute (Infinity Free Comic Book Day Prelude)

Infinity Thanos Tribute In the prelude to the Infinity arc - a free comic issued to entice would-be readers in to buying the first full issue - a twisted scene occurred. On a distant planet, an alien being known only as Outrider returns (Outriders being genetically produced assassins that serve their masters) and brings with him a message about a planet known as Ahl-Agullo to another alien being called Corvus Glaive. Glaive relays this message for his as yet unrevealed master and asks if this pleases him. Glaive's master replies "yes" as the Outrider is sent on another mission. Glaive then appears on Ahl-Agullo and demands a tribute from the king of the Ahl-Agullo and references that its planet's greatest warrior and son is dead. Glaive then reveals that the last time his master came to this world, he burned this world down and asks the king to pay a tribute. Returning to his master, Glaive gives him Ahl-Agullo's tribute and asks if this tribute pleases him. Glaive's master, revealed to be Thanos, replies "yes". The tribute is then sickeningly revealed to be a crate containing the severed heads of many Ahl-Agullo citizens
