17. Dark Orko Is Skeletor's Master (DC Universe V Masters Of The Universe #3)
DC Universe Vs Masters of the Universe is an ongoing arc, of which the third issue ended on a very surprising note. The arc sees Skeletor, who has fled to Earth after a battle with He-Man and allied himself with Black Alice, wishing to siphon off all of Earth's magic and manipulate a plan to have the heroes of Earth kill the Masters of the Universe. In the House of Secrets, where Skeletor has based himself, Black Alice wonders about whom else Skeletor has allied himself with. The entity in question has promised to help Skeletor to take back Eternia (which Skeletor believes is rightfully his) from Hordak, but Skeletor is sure he will try to take it for himself, given the opportunity. In saying so, the pair receive an unexpected visit from that "ally", who actually refers to Skeletor as his "minion" and demands to know how much longer he must wait for the task he assigned to be completed. Skeletor insists that everything is going according to plan and that, soon, the Earth will crumble without its magic - but not before they have the pleasure of witnessing Earth's mightiest heroes slay the Masters of the Universe. Amused, the dark entity comments that the Masters of the Universe had always laughed at him before and reveals himself to be an old friend of He-Man and his allies - albeit under a new guise - Dark Orko.
