16. Isn't Baby Thanos Beautiful? (Thanos Rising #1)
Thanos Rising was actually a pretty terrible comic, but this particular moment was great (even if it is for all the wrong reasons). We all know Thanos as the mighty Mad Titan, but here he is being shown at his birth as an innocent, vulnerable, tiny and utterly HIDEOUS baby. Of course, his Mother tries to kill him the second she sees him, which makes the moment even more memorable. Thanos' upbringing, despite him being a pacifist, very smart and a talented artist, was shown to be terrible (and actually quite sad at times, as he isolated himself due to his appearance and lost his only friends when they were eaten by enormous lizards) in this otherwise poor arc, and his adult life has been shown to be full of violence, resentment and pain, so to see him as a peaceful newborn infant (albeit briefly) was actually really great.
