Mac Gargan doesn't get anywhere near the level of credit he deserves. Hired by J. Jonah Jameson to find out Spider-Man's secret identity, the P.I. eventually agreed to be bonded to a suit which drove him mad and gave him extraordinary abilities as the Scorpion. Spidey has always made short work of him, but that changed when Mac finally did learn his true identity (courtesy of Norman Osborn) and bonded with the Venom symbiote. His Venom was a hulking beast who didn't think twice about devouring his enemies and sometimes even grew a Scorpion-like tail. He's since once again become The Scorpion.
