8. Daredevil Helped To Create The Avengers
Despite being Daredevil's co-creator, Bill Everett was fired by Marvel after a single issue. That's because he took over six months to deliver the finished pencils for the Man Without Fear's first comic, leaving Marvel in chaos as they struggled to fill the void left by the character not debuting on time. It was then that Stan Lee came up with The Avengers. He quickly decided to try and match the success of DC's Justice League by throwing a bunch of existing Marvel superheroes into a team, and the first instalment of their series was rushed out to take Daredevil's place (problems at the printers caused further delays). Oddly enough, the character would go on to suffer numerous delays in the '70s and '80s too.
