There are some heroes who refuse to ever kill, and some who have been racked with guilt after having no other choice than to take a life. Wonder Woman however is someone who doesn't seem to have any sort of issue with killing in battle, but one of her most controversial moments came when she brutally snapped the neck of Maxwell Lord. However, her reasons were noble. She killed Lord because he told her - while bound by the Lasso of Truth - that it was the only way to free Superman of his mental control. When her actions were broadcast over the world though, Wonder Woman's reputation was left in tatters, and even her fellow Justice League members turned their back on her.
