20 Most Powerful X-Men Villains Of All Time
5. Apocalypse
First doesn't necessarily mean best, but En Sabah Nur certainly got a head start on the rest of the mutant race by getting their first. The “First Mutant” who more commonly goes by the name of Apocalypse, the X-Men villain was born way back in Ancient Egypt, and since then he's set about increasing his powers as much as possible.
Living by the Darwinian law of survival of the fittest, Apocalypse believes in pushing mutants to evolve or die – including himself. That's how a skinny kid with grey skin transformed himself into a god, taking advantage of his natural-born immortality and pushing himself to the point that he developed basically every other power going to.
He can teleport, he's stronger even than The Hulk, he's invulnerable thanks to stealing armour off of the Celestial space gods, he can alter his entire biology at a molecular level with his thoughts, he's a powerful psychic, and his blood's infected with the Phalanx's techno-organic virus. Meaning if he dies? Even a drop of his blood can rebuild him.
