The Sorcerer Supreme has a handful of cool moments throughout the miniseries The Oath, mostly centred on his long-suffering man servant Wong. At one point Doctor Strange is given the impossible choice of curing the universe of all disease, or saving the life of his friend - he choses the later. That's not the only seemingly inescapable quandary Stephen Strange gets put in during the story, however, as he faces an enemy who casts an incantation that doesn't allow him to use magic for five minutes. In case you're unfamiliar, Doctor Strange is all about the magic. It's pretty much his thing. If you have come across him at any point, it's probably been when another Marvel superhero has needed a hand in something mystical - as the Sorcerer Supreme of our realm, it's up to Strange to protect the Earth from all incursions by demons, black magic, and the like. So it's not surprising when enemy easily bests him in physical combat - at least at first. Because then Strange begins to fight back, revealing that whilst he is Wong's master when it comes to magic, with martial arts, it's the other way around.
