20 Worst Ever Comic Book Sidekicks

3. Snapper Carr (Justice League Of America)

First Appearance: The Brave and the Bold #28 (February- March 1960) If you've made it to the top three then congratulations. It takes a strong disposition to read through this many awful sidekicks without shredding all the comics you own in outrage. It's ok... just three to go now. Snapper Carr has been a honorary member of the JLA since day one, but aside from a penchant for snapping his fingers when happy, Carr possesses no abilities of his own. That's fine, I mean Batman doesn't have any powers either, but this is ridiculous. Snapper Carr isn't really a fighter either. So let me get this straight. The world's most powerful team of heroes keep this stereotypical beatnik around as a...mascot? Oh dear. Think that's useless? Carr revoked his honorary membership when he was tricked by the Joker into revealing the location of the Justice League's headquarters. Perhaps Carr was created as someone normal that readers could identify with or maybe the writers just wanted someone useless around to show off just how brilliant and capable the actual heroes are. Either way, it's lame and should not be tolerated. Say it with me: "No more Carr, no more Carr". I'll meet you guys round the back of DC offices with the placards.
