24 Strangest Celebrity Cameos In Comic Book History

4. Muhammad Ali

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Those words continue to be remembered in the modern-day media and serve as proof to the influence the boxer had on the world. Regarded not only as one of the greatest heavyweight's of all time, Ali also fought for racial equality and sociological issues. The power Ali carried was more than enough to warrant him an appearance in one of the longest celebrity series' ever published. When an alien by the name of Rat'Lar requests that Earth's greatest fighter step forward to fight his own one (or risk letting Earth get invaded), Ali and Superman step forward. To make the match fair, Superman's powers are taken away and he's trained by Ali in the form of boxing. Despite all his training, Ali manages to beat Superman and goes off to spar with Rat'Lar's champion, Hun'Ya. Though he succeeds in defeating Hun'Ya, Rat'Lar still decides to take over the planet, but gets usurped by Hun'Ya over his dishonesty. The three competitors then make peace with one another, leading to the typical happy-ending, reminiscent of those times.

3. Tim Gunn

Some remember Tim Gunn for his contributions to the Liz Claiborne brand of clothing, others for his run on the Lifetime reality show Project Runaway, and still some for his small appearance in an Iron Man crossover event called Models Inc. The story takes place during the New York Fashion Week, where Iron Man's armours are on display. During the event, a fashion set designer is found murdered, with the prime suspect being Millie the Model. To clear her of the charges, Mary Jane and Hellcat team up together to solve the mystery. When the murderer begins sending various grunts to kill the girls before they stumble upon him, Gunn finds himself having to done a set of armour himself in order to save the day.

Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
