5 Characters Marvel Need To Reinvigorate

1. Gravity

Gravity Spider-Man
Marvel Comics

Greg Willis is a young superhero with the ability to manipulate gravity, granting him flight, enhanced strength and the attraction/repelling of objects. He was praised upon his inception for being a hero that evoked the same feelings that fans had reading about young Peter Parker.

Gravity has realism of character people can really get on board with. He gets powers, but lives in a small town that doesn't really need superheroes, so he moves to New York to be like the heroes he sees on TV. In one of his first outings he helps a supervillain escape by attacking a hero by mistake - simply because the hero looked more menacing. These reasonable mistakes, like showing up to a fight and not knowing what's going on, really endeared readers to Greg. Fans really felt part of Greg's journey to find his place among the superheroes.

He's portrayed as quite self-aware, during Spider-Island he's caught saying: "Every time this many heroes show up someone always dies! Usually a third-guy-from-the-right like me!"

However, he's more important than he gives himself credit for - he once stopped Onslaught from returning - that's no small feat.

He'd slot into a young team like the Champions well and there's lots of potential for development. Lets hope he gets his momentum back!

Gary has been reading Marvel Comics since he was 6 years old. Rather than retain knowledge on things such as Maths or Science - he chose to become a sponge for most things Marvel. He has a longstanding grudge against Iron Man he has harbored since Civil War(2006).
