5 Vampiric Marvel Comics Characters

3. Morbius

Morbius The Living Vampire
Marvel

Morbius the Living Vampire is one of the more unfortunate characters in Spider-Man's gallery. A brilliant mind who grew up with a rare blood condition that made his appearance quite grotesque, Morbius tried to cure himself using vampire bat DNA and electroshock therapy, which went horribly wrong.

The experiment turned his skin chalky, gave him enhanced physical abilities as well as the power of flight however he was also afflicted with vampirism, now having to sustain himself by consuming blood. Morbius continued to search for a cure for his condition, with the added need to find a way to relieve him of his self-inflicted vampirism.

Morbius' need to feed on blood has brought him into conflict with Spider-Man and other heroes in the past, however he is displayed as a reasonable person in spite of his transformation. Morbius even spent time working at Horizon Labs alongside Peter Parker and his team of scientists, helping to find a cure for the virus than afflicted New York during the events of Spider-Island.
