6 Comics You've Never Heard Of That Should Be Netflix Shows

4. Electric Girl

Watson and Holmes
Mighty Gremlin / Michael Brennan

Imagine for a moment Drop Dead Fred, but instead having an imaginary friend she has an invisible magical gremlin who is compelled to cause mischief.

The main character is Virginia, a teen with electric super powers who would really rather just have a normal life.

A very indy comic by Mike Brennan, Electric Girl had a short run in the early 2000s. The first volume was nominated for an Eisner Award, and it's mostly been forgotten, which leaves it ripe to be creatively retold in a new medium.

A show about a young girl trying to live a normal live with just enough electric powers to be a burden and rarely of use, who is then befriended by a cranky gremlin who can't help but cause trouble, is the teen targeting show Netflix needs.

West loves pop culture, movies, comics and TV-shows just as much as you do. Probably. Since you're reading this. Also, she has a cat. He's pretty awesome.
