6 Underrated Comics Running Now

2. The Indestructible Hulk - Mark Waid and Leinil Yu

Mark Waid's Indestructible Hulk As one of the most interesting characters existing in the Marvel Universe, it's refreshing to see a comic book that takes Bruce Banner (The Indestructible Hulk) in such an interesting direction. Mark Waid is able to truly get inside the head of Bruce Banner, and show more dimensions to the character than any other writers right now. Bruce Banner is the real protagonist of this series, not the Hulk. It's great to see a comic that explores Bruce's motivations, and his struggle to live his life battling his inner demon. The first volume of The Indestructible Hulk takes the characters into unexplored but intriguing territory, whilst Leinil Yu's artwork adds a touch of realism and grit to to a fan favourite comic book character. Catch up with the adventures of Bruce Banner by reading The Indestructible Hulk Vol. 1: Agent of Shield, out now + Vol. 2: Gods and Monsters out August 2013.
