6 Ways Marvel Has Completely F**ked Up Comic Books For Everyone

2. Infuriating Scheduling Issues

For such a massive company, Marvel desperately needs to get their s**t together. It's become commonplace for them to fail to hit deadlines, something which throws everything into chaos for fans already struggling to keep up with their constant relaunches, gimmicks, and semi-reboots. For an example of this, look no further than Secret Wars, an event series which was delayed by such a huge amount of time that the new status quo it was launched to set up ended up becoming commonplace before the final two issues hit stands, something which essentially spoiled the ending of that book and made those new ones pretty tough to follow in places. Just as annoying is Marvel releasing as many as eighteen issues of a series a year, a decision which really puts a strain on fans who are already finding it tough to pick up all their favourite comics at nearly $4 a pop. The days of any series coming out on a regular monthly basis seem to be long gone at Marvel, making it damn near impossible to keep up with what's hitting stands when. Throw in lengthy delays, filler issues, and a general lack of organisation which leads to various other problems (a story in one series being ruined in another for example), and Marvel has made that weekly trip to the comic book store a very stressful experience!
