4. All New X-Men
Marvel ComicsDays of Future Past was the first comic book movie adaptation to try and tackle alternate timelines, and impressively it managed to present all the time travel hi jinx in a way that made sense - even to people who dont own Wolverine underwear. All New X-Men is the latest comic series to embrace the absurdity of time travel and create something that hardcore core X-fans cant help but get a semi trouser claw over. This series takes place after the events of recent Marvel mega event X-Men VS The Avengers, and sees Beast bringing back the original X-Men to confront Cyclops and his new team of X-Men. While that probably doesnt sound like the most accessible of story lines, its a surprisingly easy way to get back into the Marvel Universe. X-Men fans will definitely get more of a kick out of this than the uninitiated though, and seeing the original X-Men taking on foes in modern day and even teaming up with The Guardians Of The Galaxy is the stuff fanboy dreams are made of. Accessibility aside, the writing by Marvel legend Michael Bendis and the great art from a rotating team of artists, keeps every issue consistently enthralling, and results in one of the best Marvel series in years. Seeing young Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel and Iceman interact with their former selves (or in Jeans case weirding everyone out by being alive) just leads to great moment after great moment. Highly recommended to Marvel enthusiasts and pretty much anyone with even a passing interest in X-Men.
