6. Superman - Yellow Ring (DC Rebirth)
There have been plenty of times where Superman has worn a power ring, from his time as a zombie-esque black lantern, to when he was resurrected by wearing a white ring, or even the numerous occasions on which he has worn the classic Green Lantern ring.
Though, it is the time that saw him wear the colour of fear, yellow, that was arguably the greatest.
This has happened twice now, once in the Injustice-verse (where Supes is evil) and once in the DC Rebirth continuity. In Rebirth, Superman is basically the one from prior to the New 52 - AKA the big blue beacon of hope boy scout that fans know and (mostly) love.
For those who are not particularly fond of how unwaveringly righteous this character is, this was an excellent moment, as it gave the hero a little more than his overwhelming goodness. It showed that Superman had fears, that he actually doesn't trust everyone, and it is this fear that allows Parallax to possess him.
It was a shocking turn of events and the ensuing shenanigins were a thrill to read. (Plus, the costume was really cool.)
