5. Khary Randolph
Randolph's first published comic book work as an artist was on the Spider-Man miniseries Legend of the Spider-Clan in 2003, also working on Mosaic, Spawn, Deadpool, and Teen Titans through his career. His best known work includes Tech Jacket, an Invincible spin-off series for Image written by Robert Kirkman, and Starborn, a character he co-created with Stan Lee for Boom! Studios.
More recently he illustrated We Are... Robin for DC, a 12-issue series about the mantle of Robin, Batman's sidekick, also working on several issues of the subsequent event Robin War, a large crossover event spun out of the Robin series.
He's currently the artist on the Image series Excellence, written by Brandon Thomas, about a young man born into a family of black magicians, with a benevolent aim to improve the lives of others, but never themselves. The paperback of the first six issues is available now.
