7 Current Sci-Fi Comics That Are Way More Interesting Than Guardians Of The Galaxy
More sci-fi-heavy titles that are just as good but have been left by the wayside when marketing companies were handing out buzz.
Guardians of the Galaxy. It's gonna be a movie! And here's a trailer and here are some images and more videos and stuff just in case you forgot about it. No matter what you think about Rocket Raccoon and his merry band of space cowboys, you can't deny that they're making an impact that would never have been predicted ten years ago. Because it was just a comic then, perhaps? Maybe folks just weren't ready for a gun-toting raccoon to hit the mainstream just yet. And boy, did it hit the mainstream hard. After having been hit by such a huge marketing campaign and the ensuing response, it seems like people are really rather excited about this film and the source material. But is that just because they think it's the only game in town? Maybe, but its certainly not the only sci-fi book on the shelves and GotG doesnt really illustrate the breadth of originality and quality in the genre thats being explored by a great many comics at the moment, and its extremely rare to find them being published by Marvel or DC.
