8 Comic Book Villains Humiliated By Wolverine
5. Red Skull - Old Man Logan
The Old Man Logan universe is bleak, and not just any old kind of bleak either. No, this is "2000s Mark Millar comic" levels of bleak, with the story picking up with Logan decades after Earth's supervillains had succeeded in wiping out its Mightiest Heroes.
Old Man Logan's many depressing twists and turns have been chronicled on plenty of occasions, to the point where no one really needs reminding about the creepy incestuous Hulks (blegh), the symbiote dinosaurs (cool?) or the utterly brutal twist that reveals how Mysterio tricked Wolverine into massacring the X-Men (oof).
There are, however, a few other elements that Marvel fans tend to gloss over when they think back on the comic - one of the best, of course, being the clash between Wolverine and Red Skull, Captain America's longtime foe.
After being captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. and being brought before the Skull (who is now also President of the United States), Logan breaks free and begins to fight. The fight spills over into the Skull's trophy room (located within the Nazified White House), leading to Logan picking up Captain America's shield and using it to mercilessly beat and then decapitate the Skull then and there.
Anyone familiar with Cap will know that the Red Skull has suffered some tremendous beatdowns in his time, but to be decapitated with the paraphernalia of your most hated enemy? That's gotta hurt.
