8 Most Brutal Things Magneto Has Ever Done

5. Split Apocalypse In Two - Age Of Apocalypse

Granted, 1995's Age of Apocalypse was a tad bonkers across the board, yet one of the most shocking moments of this shock-riddled event was the sight of Magneto splitting Apocalypse in two.

For the most part, it's constantly been taken as gospel that Apocalypse is the most powerful mutant in the history of mutantkind. But still, he was on the receiving end of a total brutalising when he faced off against Magneto during this year-long crossover spectacular.

The undoing of Apocalypse here, was his own sheer arrogance.

With the pair standing face-to-face, En Sabah Nur beckoned for Magneto to fight him. As the Master of Magnetism refused to do so, Apocalypse again barked at him to fight back. It's then that you see what's really happening, as Magneto casually quips, "I... can't. I'm concentrating."

In the blink of an eye, Magneto proceeds to literally rip Apocalypse in two.

Sure, Apocalypse's head was still rambling on, and he would obviously come back stronger than ever down the line, but this was Magneto at his brutal best. And, as mentioned, the sheer bonkers nature of all of this can simply be explained by the overall insanity of the Age of Apocalypse tale.
