4. The Webslinger
Avataars: Covenant of the Shield is a three issue miniseries written by Len Kaminski, published in 2000. It's a sort of "ye olde" fantasy retelling of the Marvel universe, very similar to a series called The League of Justice published four years prior.
It's exactly what you would expect from something with such a dumb name, following Captain Avalon's quest to rescue his son, St'vann Jr, from the evil clutches of the Dreadlord - this reality's version of Baron Zemo.
Some of the characters featured are literally just the same as their Earth-616 counterparts except with much sillier names, like "Greenskyne Smashtroll" - or as we like to refer to him, The Hulk. Spider-Man's counterpart, The Webslinger, is actually given his powers by this reality's version of Madame Web. He was trained by her to use his powers only for other people, and never for himself.
That is until "a brigand attacked his beloved uncle", and, for the heinous crime of protecting his loved ones from bodily harm, he's cursed to live as a grotesque, giant spider for the rest of his life. Should have just let the old fart die like usual, Petey.
