If there's a writer who's managed to embody all of Rebirth's strengths since its inception, then it would be Christopher Priest. He's presided over two pivotal books for DC since the reboot's inception with Justice League and Deathstroke, but it is the latter that is perhaps the most overlooked.

It's a tremendous book, jam-packed with political intrigue, interesting exchanges and some glorious action, and it looks as though things are being taken up a whole other notch in June. Although, if you've been reading the series, you'll probably be a tad perplexed to learn that Slade Wilson seemingly dies Deathstroke #44.

According to the most recent solits, issue 44 kicks off the first part of the Deathstroke: RIP arc, with Slade apparently killed by a member of a Teen Titan.

It remains to be seen if this is a case of the ol' comic book misdirection or if Slade actually is dead, but that doesn't make the synopsis any less intriguing. Priest's Deathstroke is still as gripping as ever, and it'll probably stay that way even without its lead at the helm.
