8 Times Wolverine Died In The Comics

The 'What If?' series of comics produced by Marvel are a fun way for writers to explore the kinds of hypothetical scenarios that fans have always asked themselves over the years, and in one such scenario from 1993, readers got to see an out-of-continuity battle between Wolverine and Hulk take place in which Hulk gives Wolverine the beating of a lifetime.

Mercilessly pummelling Wolvie, Hulk's increasingly powerful punches eventually become too much for even Wolverine's Adamantium skeleton to handle, dislodging a vertebrae in his neck and killing him.

It's not a subtle method, but by God is it effective.
