8 Worst Things Wonder Woman Has Ever Done

4. Worked For Darkseid - Final Crisis

Wonder Woman Mera The Flashpoint Paradox
DC Comics

To be fair to Diana here, the horrendous things that she did during Final Crisis wasn’t exactly her fault. But still, those things were pretty messed up.

Final Crisis was an arc that pulled no punches, with the story even going as far as killing Batman off.

The stakes were extremely high in this tale and it didn’t take long before Diana found herself involved in one of the biggest twists of this Grant Morrison offering.

While the fear of a world-devouring virus is something that’s very much in the public eye right now, Final Crisis had its own form of this in the shape of the Morticoccus Virus. A virus which turns everyday people into blood-lusting animals, Wonder Woman became infected with Morticoccus thanks to Mary Marvel. And from there, she goes on to infect multiple DC heroes.

Under the control of this Darkseid-inspired Morticoccus, Wonder Woman leads the Lord of Apokolips' new army of Furies as his loyal warrior servant. Working with Darkseid is never cool, and it was even worse here that Diana helped corrupt the likes of Batwoman, Catwoman, and Giganta into carrying out his bidding.

By the time that Final Crisis had come to an end, thankfully The Ray was able to free Darkseid’s hold on these heroes by drawing a Metron symbol across the planet. Still, that didn’t take back the deaths of Batman, Martian Manhunter, and so many others.
