8 Worst Things Wonder Woman Has Ever Done

2. Beheading Mera - Flashpoint

The Flashpoint version of Wonder Woman is likely the most brutal, outright tyrannical take on the character that we've ever seen.

As alluded to in our recapping of Diana killing poor Billy Batson, that Geoff Johns story saw this skewed version of Wonder Woman decapitate Queen Mera. At war with Aquaman and the whole of Atlantis, Wonder Woman lopped off the King of the Seven Seas' beloved wife as a way to further stoke the fires of this intense rivalry.

To be fair, Aquaman had already muddied the waters of this situation by sleeping with Diana. And it was after witnessing that that Mera confronted Wonder Woman - only to soon have her head separated from her body.

In the Flashpoint comic book arc, Wonder Woman then sent the headless corpse of Mera to Aquaman. Changing that slightly, the adapted Flashpoint Paradox animated movie saw the Amazon send Arthur his wife's decapitated head. Either way, whether in the comics or in the film, the end result was the same for poor Mera.

Adding insult to injury, Wonder Woman would then wear Mera's helmet as she and her army did battle with Aquaman.
