Police officers in Maryland were able to apprehend a potential mass murderer, shortly before he planned to go out and commit the crime. Neil Edwin Prescott was arrested after a co-worker reported a threat complaint in the workplace. The co-worker claimed that Prescott had stated to him on the phone that, "I am the Joker! I'm gonna load my guns and blow everybody up!" He then threatened to kill everyone in the building. It was revealed shortly after that Prescott was in the process of being fired from the company before the threat was reported. Police obtained a search warrant for Prescott's home where they found 25 different firearms, including assault rifles and handguns, along with thousands of rounds of ammunition.
