9 Horrifying Real Crimes Inspired By The Joker

4. The Clark County Trespasser

A Clark County man was jailed after breaking into a local home. Cole Vetterkind was given a sentence of almost ten months in jail, under the charge of battery and trespassing. In January 2009, Vetterkind had dressed up like Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight, before breaking into his cousin's home. After gaining entry to the house, Vetterkind discovered his ex-girlfriend and cousin in bed together. In a fit of rage, Vetterkind began viciously beating the couple. During the struggle, his cousin managed to shoot the trespasser in the leg, before calling police who arrested Vetterkind at the scene.
