Batman: 10 Controversial Moments We’ll Never See On Screen

4. Batman B**ch Slaps Robin

batman-bitch-slaps-robin By now you've come across this particular meme in the form of an old comic page where Robin asks Batman the silly question of what he's getting his parents for Christmas only to be physically corrected by Batman. To be honest, it actually happened, or not. To explain, this originated from a fantasy story in The World's Finest comics where Bruce Wayne blamed Superboy for the death of his parents and was driven to become the Cape Crusader who would hunt down Superman in the future. And the slap was actually in response to the Boy Wonder questioning Batman's apparent obsessive behavior. Though it was only a "road not ventured" style of story, the slapping of Boy Wonder at the hands of his protege sent shock waves through the Batman fan base, and was never repeated. Given how disturbingly uncharacteristic this particular story was, it's doubtful it would be used for shock value in a Batman film, even if it's by Hollywood's disturbing standards.
