Batman: 8 Incredibly Dark Joker Moments We'll Never See On Screen

3. Blowing Up A School Full Of Children

Though Kevin Smith€™s a mixed bag when it comes to writing, one of his better storylines came in 2009 with Batman: Cacophony. The three-issue limited series depicts the Caped Crusader attempting to stop a turf war between the Joker and Maxie Zeus whilst dealing with the presence of a new supervillain called Onomatopoeia. As previous storylines with Penguin and Hush have confirmed, going to war with the Joker is a near-suicide mission regardless of your resource count. When Zeus meets up with Joker to talk him out of ruling the crime world, he makes the blunder of threatening to crush him like a bug. Joker€™s response? €œAnd I€™ll crush you like a room full of unibrowed school kids€, before he blows up a school full of children, one of whom is Zeus€™s nephew. Why It Won't Be Done... Harkening back to Jason Todd€™s death, there€™s this societal boundary in the film and television industry when it comes to the killing of children. Yes, you can do a large-scale disaster and everyone can make implications (such as the earthquake in Arrow), but specifically doing acts doesn€™t work. Even the death of the kid who gets eaten in Jaws was toned down significantly from what it could€™ve been. In The Dark Knight, the Joker blew up a hospital that had been evacuated beforehand, and I think that€™s the closest we€™ll ever get.

Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
