Batman Damned Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs

5. Enchantress

Batman: Damned Enchantress
DC Comic

Did you hate Enchantress during Suicide Squad? Luckily, her redemption comes during Batman: Damned. Although the flashbacks annoyingly pulled us out of the main story, they provided us with an incredibly creepy version of June Moone's witchy alter-ego.

She's wormed her way into Bruce's mind somehow and has poisoned his memories of before the tragic night in the alley. His Father, Thomas Wayne, was apparently cheating on Martha with women much younger than him. And the relationship between Father and Son wasn't exactly a healthy one.

But every so often, Enchantress crawls out from within the walls of his memories and taunts him. The way she's drawn is almost reminiscent of the original Deadites in Evil Dead, that's how creepy she is. Not to mention the piercing orange eyes. And way her skin is grey in colour give her a real undead appearance, as if she's rotting away inside Bruce's brain.
