DC ComicsOne of the biggest reveals so far in Eternal also came quite early on, at the tail end of Eternal #2, and that was the presence of infamous mafia don Carmine Falcone. Falcone is a well-known villain despite his lack of theatrics or superpowers, largely due to integral roles in Jeph Loeb's seminal Batman mystery The Long Halloween and an appearance in Christopher Nolan's film Batman Begins. As is the case with characters like Deacon Blackfire and James Gordon Jr., it's unclear exactly which elements of the pre-New 52 Falcone remain intact. Eternal is forging a new path with a fresh vision of Gotham City, and Falcone is bringing the mafia element into the mix in a big way. So far, he's been a major player - we'll see if he's really the one pulling the strings, though, or if he's just another marionette for the real Eternal villain. Speaking of which...
