Batman: Ranking Every Robin Worst To Best
5. Carrie Kelley
Carrie Kelley made her debut in Frank Miller's classic graphic novel, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Although the works are non-canonical, they are considered some of the best written pieces in the medium and one of the defining stories in Batman's history. For this reason, it is hard to ignore the novels, therefore hard to ignore Kelley.
Carrie was one of the most memorable elements in Miller's Dark Knight saga. With an origin rooted in neglect instead of loss, unlike Dick Grayson and Jason Todd before her, she began to admire Batman after he saved her from a mugging.
In a world of batarangs, grappling guns and Batmobiles, Kelley's weapons of choice included a sling shot and some firecrackers, reinforcing her childlike innocence in a story that was otherwise dark and brooding. She also saved Bats from the Mutant Leader and briefly aided him in the fight against Superman.
Ever since, Kelley has been written into DC continuity during the New 52 revamp, but her invaluable role as Robin in what is widely accepted as the best Batman story of all-time earns her a spot on this list.
