Darryl Dixon To Appear in The Walking Dead Comic?

Creator Robert Kirkman hints that the fan favourite TV character could be about to make an appearance on the printed page.

With The Walking Dead building up to its second season finale on TV, the writer and creator of the comic book the show is based on has teased fans that the character of red neck Daryl Dixon could be about to make an appearance on the printed page. Daryl, played by actor Norman Reedus, was created specially for the T.V. show and was not adapted from Robert Kirkman's source material. Since making his appearance in the show's third episode, Daryl has become a favourite character among the fans, hardly ever on screen without his crossbow. Kirkman has been asked many times when the character will appear in the pages of his comic, mainly by Reedus himself. He told Comic Book Resources;
"I've definitely considered writing Daryl in to the comics... Norman is always pestering me about it. All I can say right now is that if you have been paying attention to the Internet we did just release a series of teasers called 'Something to Fear' for a new story arc that's coming up and it's a series of very threatening looking people with very specific weapons and one of them has a crossbow."
The new arc follows up the recent story 'Wider World', and finds Rick and his band of survivors discovering that they aren't the only living humans left in the world. But will these newly discovered survivors be as dangerous a threat as the zombies?
