Mjolnir is only kind of alive, and even then it definitely isn't the type of "alive" that applies to us, so it's no wonder the hammer is so easy to fool when it comes to finding loopholes in the oath.

For instance, take the Awesome Android, a Fantastic Four villain created by the supervillain The Mad Thinker. His power is the ability to steal the powers of other superheroes. So when Andy runs afoul of the God of Thunder, he steals his god powers, and with it, manages to fool Mjolnir into thinking it's Thor.

Nonsensical? Definitely, but this is about a robot with a perfectly rectangular head made by someone named The Mad Thinker - who despite that name couldn't be bothered to think up a more creative name than Awesome Android - so what do you want?

Despite the android exploiting this loophole, Thor manages to get his powers back and wallop the android proper.
