Every Character Who Lifted Thor's Hammer Mjolnir
5. Storm
If you've heard of both Thor and the X-Men's Storm, then you have probably wondered if Storm is worthy of lifting the hammer. And going off of that, what would become of such an already god-like mutant when she wields the hammer of the God of Thunder?
Well back in the eighties, we sort of got our answer when Storm received a hammer very similar to Mjolnir from Loki called Stormcaster, which made her nigh unstoppable. But of course the hammer controlled her will, so she had to destroy the hammer to save her friends.
However, Stormcaster returned during the events of maxi series Siege when Thor discovered a box with Storm's name on it. Inside was, of course, Storm's old hammer, which she is drawn to.
Upon grabbing it, like before, she is put under Loki's sway. But in a shocking twist, Storm summons enough of her willpower to grab Mjolnir and bring it down on Stormcaster, forever destroying the hammer and freeing herself, also proving that, yes, Storm is worthy of the God of Thunder's hammer.
