2. Emily Bright
Many people may call Strange Academy Marvel's version of Harry Potter, and while it may not fit as a one-to-one comparison, there are certainly similarities. And if this is Marvel's Hogwarts, Emily Bright is their Harry Potter.
As a human teen unfamiliar with the wider world of magic, Emily sees this world through a child's eyes. Everything is new and at times she feels overwhelmed by her rapidly changing life. But that doesn't mean she's weak. No, Emily quickly establishes herself as a leader. She is recklessly heroic, exceedingly rebellious, and the closest thing to a main protagonist that the series has.
She spends the first half of Strange Academy's 18-issue run making friends and learning all magic has to offer. Then, she finds her footing, leading a school wide protest against the many secrets the teachers have been hiding.
She can come off as sanctimonious at times, but she believes in her ideals. Unfortunately, with where things left off at the end of the series, it seems Emily Bright may be in for a trip to the Dark Side. Hopefully, she can be redeemed when the series picks up again.
