Every Time Thor Has Died In Comics (And How He Came Back To Life)

Hilariously, it'd be incredibly easy to overlook that Thanos kills Thor in the Thanos Wins series, as while it's totally badass, it's also in a series that contains him killing just about every hero you've ever known and loved, so it's easy to forget any individual death this rampage contains.

But Thor's death is perhaps the most dramatic, as it features the Mad Titan blasting Thor to death with his energy powers, barely breaking a sweat as he wipes out one of Marvel's most powerful characters - handily setting up for the rest of the series, where he makes killing Marvel's most powerful beings more or less his day job.

This dark future timeline would be erased when the young Thanos - who the King had brought to the future - realised he had only been summoned by his older form so that he could kill the old man and reunite him with Death, which the young Thanos considered pretty pathetic. As such, he went back to his time, committed to never turning out like the King, which would see this future wiped from existence.
