How Batman Would Defeat Every Spider-Man Villain
14. Prowler
Hobart “Hobie” Brown grew up one of nine children to an alcoholic mother causing the children had to fend for themselves. To make money, Hobie became a window cleaner. After being in the middle of a fight between Daredevil and Stilt-Man, Hobie decided to create a costumed identity of his own… to aid in his window washing. Originally his wrists and ankle bracelets were filled with cleaning fluid and his clawed gloves and boots aided him in climbing. When he lost his job, he added a mask and glider cape and replaced the washer fluid with sleeping gas pellets. He embarked on his life of crime under the name The Prowler.
Despite being a genius-level inventor, an Olympic-level athlete, and an expert martial artist, The Prowler has spent most of his career getting his stolen Prowler costume back from various other criminals and helping Spider-Man keep his secret identity intact by portraying the hero in costume.
On paper, the Prowler looks like a Batman without the vast fortune, a belt full of gadgets, and a massive cave. They have similar skills, use similar equipment and wear specialized costumes. But the Prowler wouldn’t last a minute against the Batman in any serious fight.
