Marvel Legacy: 8 Reasons The Fans Should Be Worried

3. It's Been Marketed Horribly

Marvel Comics has failed miserably in its attempts to communicate what the Legacy initiative actually is.

From what we can gleam, it's a soft reboot of sorts that will bring about a new status quo in the Marvel Universe, but the publisher neglected to tell us this with its initial marketing campaign.

Nor did it give us any substantial reason to care about the project, beyond our love for the classic characters involved.

The initial reveal was accompanied by a series of GIF videos offering us a peek at the cover designs alongside the classic artwork they're paying homage to.

It was a campaign that lacked any substantial content - no synopses, creative team announcements or event a summary of what Marvel Legacy is.

Things have improved slightly now creative team info has been drip-fed along with titles for some of the launch story arcs, but Marvel's efforts to promote the event have been heavy on buzz words and light on clarity and content.
