MCU's Kate Bishop & The Young Avengers: Everything You Need To Know
7. Who Is Kate Bishop?
Kate has actually been around for fifteen years now, debuting in 2005's Young Avengers #1.
We first meet Kate during a hostage situation at a wedding, in which she is a bridesmaid (already dressed in her trademark purple). Things quickly escalate when a team of superheroes crash through the window.
Kate watches on as they struggle to take control of the situation, until she sees an opportunity to intervene. She manages to create a diversion that allows the team to get on top of things and free the hostages.
Over the next few issues, she meets and teams up with Cassie Lang and the two try to join the Young Avengers. It’s only after the are forced to disband that the two manage to break into the boy’s club. Kate rallies the team and offers them a place to train under the radar, her family’s old printing factory.
Bishop continued with the Young Avengers for a while, until Cassie's death which caused the team to disband permanently. After that, she partnered with Clint Barton for a while, before moving to San Fransisco, where she set up a hero-for-hire business and eventually joined the West Coast Avengers.
