Ranking The Green Lanterns Worst To Best

3. John Stewart

Green Lantern Corps
DC Comics

John Stewart entered the DC Universe's roster of members of the Green Lantern Corps when he first appeared back in 1971's Green Lantern #87.

Originally, Stewart was chosen by the Guardians of the Universe to act as a backup to the current Lantern, Hal Jordan. This came following the previous backup, Guy Gardner's serious injury, which made Stewart the third human to hold the title.

Over the years, Stewart clearly demonstrated his abilities as a member of the Corps, even going on to join the Justice League, but his greatest achievement came when he joined the Guardians of the Universe.

Stewart was the first member of the Guardians to be a mortal, which was a significant achievement. He was chosen to restore order on the Mosaic World, which is where he was when the Guardians were destroyed during the Emerald Twilight event.
